Our Draft Horses

Kitty and Katie are Percheron draft horses and we like to call them the “big girls” because they are about 16.1 hands tall. They are 16 years old and we have had them for 5 years now. Kitty and Katie work together to pull our wagons, sleigh, and carriage for a variety of events so they have had a lot of different experiences including railroads and lakes.

Kitty is always on the right and Katie on the left.
Katie can be lazy so Russ and Kitty have to remind her to pull her weight.
They are broke to ride, but even then they prefer to walk on “their” sides.
